ABOUT ME
Country Girl. Pet Expert. Treat Maker. Professional Spoiler of Dogs.
I've spent more than 40 years working with animals, so I've learned a few things along the way.
I've worked with horses. I've owned and operated a large pet store full of everything from mice to cockatoos. I spent 12 years grooming dogs, which means I've been drooled on, shed on, peed on and somehow still think dogs are better than most people sometimes.
Around here, sarcasm is free, honesty is guaranteed, and your dog will probably get complimented before you do. I believe in spoiling pets, telling it like it is, and loving animals the best way I can. I believe our pups deserve treats made with real ingredients instead of a science experiment with a bar code.
And through all of it, one thing will never change,
Animals come first. Always.
I've never been very good at doing things halfway. When it comes to animals, "good enough" has never been good enough for me.
That's how Widget's Biscuits came to be.
So pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile, Around here tails wag, treats disappear faster than bacon at a family reunion, and every dog is treated like the good girl - or good boy - they know they are.
Because life is better with muddy boots, dog hair on your clothes, and a biscuit in your pocket!
For Widget ❤️
This is the part I never really wanted to write.
Widget’s Biscuits actually began in 2017. For many years, our treats were made exclusively for the grooming shop where I was manager, groomer, and, apparently, head of the poop-and-pee department too.
Widget was only three years old when she became part of all of it.
Life changes eventually meant we had to stop baking. But the recipes never really left us. In May of 2026, we started working on them again—tweaking, testing, perfecting, and bringing everything back to the way we wanted it to be.
And then, on July 10, 2026, we lost Widget to cancer.
She was so much more than a dog.
She was our taste tester. Our quality-control inspector. Our constant companion. And without fail, if anything happened to hit the floor, Widget was there immediately to handle Clean-Up on Aisle 11.
She approved everything.
Every rolled-out recipe. Every stuffed cannoli. Every drizzled muffin.
And even now, while making something new, I still catch myself calling for her to come check it out.
For just a second, I expect her to come trotting in.
She was deeply loved.
And she is terribly, terribly missed.
So although Widget isn't here to supervise the kitchen anymore, she is still part of everything that comes out of it.
Every recipe we make, every treat we roll, fill, drizzle, bake, and pack is made with her in mind. Her name is on this business, but more importantly, her spirit is in it.
She reminds us why quality matters.
Why we don't cut corners.
Why we take our time.
Why every single treat should be something we'd be proud to give to our own dogs.
We will always make Widget’s Biscuits with the same love, care, and ridiculously high standards she expected from us.
Because this isn't just a business to us.
This is our heart.
And Widget will always be a part of the heart behind everything we make.
